In December of 2003, Selfreliance Ukrainian American Federal Credit Union applied for membership to the Ukrainian Cultural Center of New Jersey. Their application included a donation to the building fund in the amount of $10,000. Presenting the check to Fr. Roman Mirchuk is Ihor Laszok, Executive Vice President of the Credit Union. Standing on the far left is Michael Koziupa, Parsippany Branch Manager, and to the far right is Orest Kucyna, Trustee and Building Committee Vice Chairman.

 

The Credit Union has been, and continues to be, an integral part of Ukrainian communities throughout the United States. In addition to providing financial services, they also help organize, support and sponsor a variety of community events. The Credit Union has demonstrated a willingness to continue to work with and support the greater Ukrainian community by becoming a member of the Ukrainian Cultural Center. Consideration is being given by the Credit Union for a part time satellite office that would provide convenient financial services on days of high facility usage, such as Saturday mornings.
