In February 2004, the PLAST "PRYJAT" organization applied for membership to the Ukrainian Cultural Center of New Jersey. In addition to applying for membership, PLAST PRYJAT pledged to raise $30,000 over the next 3-4 years, with an initial donation of $10,000 toward the Building Fund.

PLAST PRYJAT is an organization of parents of PLAST members whose sole interest is to assist, support, and promote the work of PLAST. Their goals and activities include: organizing fund raisers; providing physical and organizational assistance with scouting events, celebrations of cultural traditions, religious holidays, youth competitions; welcoming new PLAST parents and keeping all members informed of upcoming events; and in general raising awareness within the community of the value and importance of he PLAST organization and mission.
